Physical effects and chemical weathering

Weathering processes effect the texture and appearances of rock. The most common type of weathering is acid rain. Rain carries carbon which is acidic causing the rock to decay and create holes or gapes. Chemical can start by salt minerals going into rocks and growing and eventuall cracking the rock.
